Au cours de la campagne électorale fédérale de 2015, les travailleurs de la Ville de Montréal ont enlevé les affiches électorales de BDS-Québec (comité de la Coalition pour la justice et la paix en Palestine) (BDS-Québec / CJPP) et du Parti communiste du Canada (PcC) enfreignant ainsi la loi électorale du Canada. BDS-Québec et PcC ont par la suite poursuivi la Ville de Montréal réclamant un dédommagement. La cause a été entendue par l’Honorable Sylvie Lachapelle, juge à la Cour du Québec, en janvier 2018. Le jugement a été rendu le 26 novembre 2018.
La décision des Libéraux de présenter une loi forçant le retour au travail et mettant fin à la grève du STTP, met en péril le droit à la libre négociation collective et le droit de grève de tous les syndicats et de toutes les travailleuses et les travailleurs du Canada.

The Communist Party of Canada condemns the recent assassination of two campesino leaders and members of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV). On Oct. 31 in Nueva Bolivia, Merida State, PCV Central Committee member Luis Fajardo and his brother-in-law, Javier Aldana, were killed by a burst of gunfire from a moving car. Both men had been active in defence of campesino rights, but the authorities ignored the serious threats against Luis Fajardo and his family.
